Pokemon Special Edition Gameboy Color: Ideal for fans of Nintendo's successful Pokémon franchise, this special edition Pokemon Gold and Silver Nintendo Game Boy Color is embellished with the images of Pikachu and Pichu around the screen. Along with the custom screen plate, the body of this special edition Gameboy has a platinum finish that is unique among the Color generation of Nintendo consoles. As with other editions of the 8-bit handheld game system, this Pokemon Game Boy Color's 160 by 144 pixel screen can display any 56-color combination from its palette of 32,768 colors in total, providing an experience reminiscent of a souped-up version of Nintendo's 1985 NES. Players control this Gameboy device using a D-pad, A and B buttons, and Start and Select buttons. A convex bump on the lower back of the device serves as an extra bit of space for AA batteries and a bit of an ergonomic upgrade over the previous Gameboy model, the Pocket. The game screen lacks back- and front-lighting and is designed for visibility in direct sunlight rather than being limited to indoor use. As modern Pokemon fans spend their days capturing Pokémon outdoors with their smartphones, fans looking for a classic experience with the franchise will likely find themselves enjoying some time outside of the living room as well. With 15 to 20 hours of battery life, this classic Pokémon gaming console is built for longevity. This length of time does not include the sleep mode and other hibernation options. The elegant simplicity of this era of portables means that gaming is as simple as inserting a cartridge, flipping a switch, and investing every second of battery life on the time you spend actually playing. This gaming unit was one of the final revisions of the Gameboy to come out of Nintendo Japan in the midst of the Pokémon Trading Card Game craze; it was also one of the last to come along during the Gold and Silver transitional period before the Game Boy Advance refreshed the portable gaming space.

Pokemon Silver: Enter a whole new world, with new Pokémon to capture, train and battle! Meet Professor Elm and get the all-new Poké Gear, including map, radio, cell phone and clock. Set the clock then watch as day turns to night and events take place in real time-and be sure to keep an eye out for Pokémon that come out only at night

A Note on Item Conditions when ordering from us!

When shopping any of our websites or in our stores, you will notice that we segment games, systems and accessories into condition categories:

  • Brand New* - new or original seal in original packaging and includes original components.
  • Complete - Very Good* - item is complete in box (CIB) with all original components. It will include jewel case/box, artwork, instruction manuals and any included items where applicable. All items will show very little wear.
  • Complete - Good* - item is complete and will include jewel case/box, artwork and manual. Labels/Manuals/Boxes might show light to minor wear.
  • Complete - Acceptable* - item is complete with original case/artwork, manual and game. Item will show heavy wear from use.
  • Game Only/Game System Only/Accessory Only* - these items might not be complete. These items will be game or system/accessory only and might not include original boxes or manuals. These items will show wear from use and might also have sticker or marker residue on them.
  • Ugly* - they might not be pretty but they work! We sometimes get items that show label damage, dents, deep scratches, cracks, etc. We're happy to offer these at a discount. If you just want to play a game, check the Ugly’s out and save a few bucks to boot!
  • Game Manual Only - these listings are for loose game manuals. Many gamers are looking to complete their collections and often missing is the original game manual. These items are in good, complete, clean condition but might show light wear from use and could have the occasional dog ear/ink/sticker to a page.

*Downloadable content, if applicable, may have already been previously redeemed or no longer available. Some games are online only even if in physical form – please confirm before ordering.)
